Heavy Equipment Operator

About the role

The City of McMinnville seeks an energetic and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join the Public Works Department. This position is crucial for maintaining the city’s infrastructure, including streets, sidewalks, and other public areas.

Responsibilities

• Operates various heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, bulldozers, and backhoes for maintenance and construction tasks.
• Maintains sidewalks, repairs road cuts and potholes, mows right-of-ways, and performs street sweeping.
• Carries out mosquito spraying and participates in various construction projects.
• Loads and unloads trucks that require lifting up to 75 lbs.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class B CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months
• One year of experience operating heavy equipment
• Able to lift, move, and carry up to 75 lbs.
