Heavy Equipment Operator – Artesia – Open until 7/27/26

Responsibilities

• Operate motor grader, grading various base materials maintaining and establishing road profiles to grades and blue tops.
• Use hand operated tools as needed.
• Perform tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ensure all employees at the worksite are performing their assigned tasks.
• Work irregular hours and attend job-related meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with safety guidelines and complete a new-hire physical and drug screen.
• Pass a background check including random drug and alcohol testing.

Requirements

• Must be able to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Experience operating motor grader and other heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
