Heavy Equipment Mechanic | Service Technician - Jeffersonville, IN

Job Summary

ENCON Equipment is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Service Technician to support our growing fleet of construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have a mix of shop and field service experience, along with a strong background in mechanics and troubleshooting.

About the Role

This position offers full-time, steady hours, competitive pay ($30–$40/hr), and benefits including health, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and employee equipment discounts. Overtime opportunities are also available.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on construction equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, lifts, telehandlers, and other similar machinery
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues
• Troubleshoot problems quickly and accurately
• Prepare equipment for job-site readiness and reliability
• Work with rental and operations teams to ensure the fleet remains operational
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation

Requirements

• Experience as a mechanic or service technician
• Background working on construction, rental, or industrial equipment preferred
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, engines, and mechanical components
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment without guesswork
• Solid work ethic and attention to detail
• Physically capable of hands-on shop and field work
• Valid driver’s license
