Lunda Construction Company, a subsidiary of Tutor Perini Corporation, offers a Union position for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at its Rosemount, MN yard location. Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and diesel trucks
- Perform preventative maintenance following manufacturer standards
- Repair engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, HVAC, brakes, suspension, and drivetrains
- Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, cranes, and hoists
- Complete electronic service documentation accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service truck and work area
- Work safely and follow all company and regulatory safety policies
Requirements
- Diesel or heavy equipment technical training or equivalent experience
- One (1) or more years of Heavy Equipment experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in an active environment
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
Skills
Proficiency with diagnostic tools, a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and the ability to work independently are essential skills for this position.

Pay
The pay range for this position is based on Union scale for International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49 (MN).
