Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, major, and minor repairs on hydraulic, electrical, ignition, pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel and gas engines, drivetrains, electrical, hydraulic, fuel systems, and ignition.
• Solve problems and troubleshoot equipment issues as part of daily responsibilities.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Background in construction, heavy equipment, or equipment rental.
• Must possess the tools required to perform repairs.
• Experience with diesel and gas engines, as well as drivetrains.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
• DOT medical card required (assistance available to obtain one).
• Clean driving record for potential on-call rotation.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from $31.05 to $43 per hour, depending on experience. Pay is distributed weekly.

Schedule

Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM. Overtime available based on business needs.
