Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and Repair to Equipment and Trucks is the Primary Task.
  • Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues.
  • Perform and record routine maintenance according to schedule.
  • Provide routine inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Repair equipment as needed.
  • WELDING, welding/build-up auger tools, secondary task; not a prerequisite to mechanic position, but a plus.
  • Keep an accurate log of all work performed.
  • Keep the work area clean and safe.
  • Adhere to company work safety policies.
  • Provide your own set of basic hand tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience conducting routine heavy equipment and truck repair/maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience inspecting heavy equipment and trucks.
  • Practical mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
  • Sound mechanical problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to operate heavy equipment, a CDL, and/or welding fabrication ability; IS A PLUS.
