Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system issues across various types of equipment.
- Operate vehicles and equipment for testing and troubleshooting purposes.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure equipment longevity.
- Accurately determine and procure necessary parts and supplies to complete maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Complete all required maintenance records and paperwork.
- Follow company safety protocols, including proper PPE use.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.
- Work independently or as part of the maintenance team to meet operational needs.
- Provide mentorship and support to fellow team members as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to support the team and maintain smooth operations.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of relevant experience as a heavy equipment mechanic (preferred).
- Class A CDL license preferred (for truck-related duties).
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair heavy machinery, trucks, trailers, and forklifts.
- Basic welding skills (preferred).
- Basic computer skills for diagnostics and record-keeping.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must provide own tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
Schedule & Compensation
- Shift: Swing
- Pay: Competitive, based on qualifications and experience
