Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Summary Of Responsibilities
Troubleshoot equipment issues
Repair and maintain a broad range of mechanical and electrical systems on mining mobile equipment including, but not limited to, diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, computer, and power transmission systems
Participate in safety hazard recognition
Maintain superior housekeeping
May be required to work at heights and/or in confined spaces
Be able to work alone with minimal supervision or with other maintenance technicians
Work in hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and/or noisy environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Two-year Auto/Diesel or similar degree or certified Journeyman
- Able to read blueprints, manufacturer manuals, and other instructional items
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, nights, afternoons, weekends, and holidays
- Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts
