Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel, gasoline, and spray equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and spray system issues.
- Conduct inspections and test drives to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate repair records and shop inventory.
- Aid in equipment fabrication and custom builds.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns in the field when required.
- During downtime, assist vegetation spray crews in the field, including railroad vegetation management operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in mechanics preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 5 years of clean driving history required.
- Class B CDL preferred but not required.
- Proven experience repairing heavy trucks (both gas and diesel).
- Welding experience required.
- Skilled in using hand tools and power equipment, including chainsaws, trimmers, and blowers.
- Experience working on sweepers, catch basin trucks, and tractors required.
- Willingness and flexibility to work overtime is needed.
- Must have your own tools.

Pay and Schedule
Pay rate: $25.00-30 per hour depending on experience.

Job Description DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our team. This role includes the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment, including vegetation spray systems—under the supervision of the Shop Manager.
