Principal Accountabilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Maintain equipment such as industrial heavy equipment, forklifts, loaders, conveyors, pumps, compressors
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and minimize downtime
- Perform welding, fabrication, and parts replacement as required
- Complete maintenance work orders and document repairs accurately
- Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and environmental procedures
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, rain, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of industrial or heavy equipment maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains)
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Working knowledge of DPF and DEF equipment systems
- Experience working with heavy equipment drivetrain systems
- Ability to read schematics, manuals, and work instructions
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CAT SIS/ET and John Deere computer diagnostic systems
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, food production, or processing environments
- Heavy equipment/industrial maintenance technical diploma from a trade school, or 3 years equivalent experience
- Electrical troubleshooting experience (motors, controls, VFDs)
- Welding certification or demonstrated welding experience
- Forklift or mobile equipment certification
- Vocational or technical trade training
- CMRT, PMMI, or related maintenance certifications
