Position Responsibilities
- Service and fuel heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, haul trucks, wheel loaders, water trucks, pick-ups, and other support equipment.
- Check and fill fluid levels, service lube points and perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Maintain service, repair, and maintenance records daily.
- Aid in maintaining inventory of service kits, lubes, oils, and other supplies.
- Cookordination equipment service activities with production and maintenance team members.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance Services on Fuel and Lube truck(s) as needed.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance Services on Mining equipment as needed and required.
- Change forklift and truck tires as needed and required.
- Repair damaged Auto Greasing system injection lines as needed on all heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot greasing system problems and repair greasing systems as needed.
- Perform tasks from verbal/written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisor and fellow employees.
- Keep work area clean and orderly, including the weekly cleaning of the Fuel and Lube truck(s).
- Complete daily work assignments in a timely fashion.
- Actively callout on the 2-way radio system point to point movement at all times on the active haul road and around Mine Equipment.
- Be a leader in both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company safety policies, procedures and environmental regulations.
- Participate in safety huddles.
- Always maintain a preparedness to deploy spill kits in the event of a spill with fuel or other lubricant.
- Participate in the cleanup of any spills arising from your duties.
Basic Qualifications
- High School or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of technical field experience servicing heavy equipment and trucks.
- 1 year of driving experience in a class 8 size 1,000 gallon plus fuel tanker truck is preferred.
- Current or prior MSHA part 48 training is a plus.
- Valid Drivers License to drive company vehicles on and off property.
