Heavy Equipment / Diesel Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to heavy and industrial equipment.
• Read service orders, diagnose, and troubleshoot units to resolve malfunctions and plan work procedures.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on units, and adjust as necessary.
• Test-operate equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Attend training classes and stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships to enhance overall satisfaction.
• Complete assigned service and/or repairs according to safety requirements and procedures.
• Participate in and utilize technical training as directed by management.
• Maintain designated workspaces in an organized and clean condition.
• Ensure customer equipment is returned clean after servicing.
• Show courtesy to all guests, visitors, and dealership personnel.
• Achieve production objectives set by management.
• Adhere to manufacturer’s policies and procedures related to labor operations, documentation, and repair specifications.
• Perform any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and management.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of fleet or dealership experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CDL certification preferred.
• Strong sense of dedication to both the customer and service team.
• Self-motivated and professional demeanor.
• Own tools required.
