Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanic

About the role

Keep the equipment moving that keeps Oklahoma's road construction projects moving. Tri-Star Construction is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment and/or Heavy Truck Diesel Mechanic. If your experience is primarily with heavy construction equipment OR heavy-duty trucks, we want to hear from you. Experience with both is a plus, but not required. Whether you work on heavy equipment, heavy trucks, or both—if you can diagnose it, fix it right, and get it back to work, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and/or heavy duty trucks
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, emissions, and other mechanical systems
• Perform shop and field repairs to minimize equipment downtime
• Weld and fabricate components as needed, if qualified
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records

Requirements

• Experience as a heavy equipment or heavy truck diesel mechanic; experience with both is a plus
• 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing

Skills

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Welding/fabrication experience
• CDL (a plus)

Pay
