About the role

The incumbent will perform deep cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance tasks in various areas under the supervision of the EVS Manager. The role also involves assisting in general cleaning duties and providing guest service.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment for guests at Hard Rock Sacramento at Fire Mountain.
• Report needed maintenance and address issues such as loss, damage, or breakage of property.
• Maintain security of assigned areas, keys, and equipment; ensure supply and equipment storage areas are secure.
• Deep clean and maintain: carpets and upholstery; tile and wood floors; marble and other stone surfaces; concrete floors and decking; and other exterior areas.
• Sweep, dust mop, and wet mop hard surface floors; vacuum, sweep, and pick up carpeted areas; remove gum and carpet spots; vacuum upholstered furnishings and fabric; reposition furniture and equipment after cleaning.
• Assist in stripping, waxing, and refinishing; carpet and upholstery restoration; pressure cleaning; buffing, polishing, and recoating; diamond polishing and restoring marble; and other deep cleaning procedures.
• Operate powered walk-behind and ride-on cleaning equipment: automatic scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors.
• Assist or substitute in general cleaning of property: removing trash, cleaning restrooms and gaming areas; assist in emergency clean-ups and provide coverage for absences.
• Attend and participate in meetings.
• Perform work regularly and predictably.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Two months of on-the-job training or related janitorial experience.
• Valid licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery regulations.
• Pass background check.
• Pass drug screening.
• Aged 21 or older.
• Able to work holidays, weekends, flexible shifts, and unusual hours.
• Lift objects up to 40 pounds, and push/pull/move objects of that weight or more.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
• Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
• Routinely handle potentially hazardous cleaning chemicals and wastes; adhere to safety instructions and comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Regularly use powered cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

Basic hand and power tools and testing equipment knowledge. Excellent guest service skills and communication skills. Janitorial duties.

Skills

Flexibility to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.

Pay

$15 - $21/hourly.
