Heavy Duty Porter - Casino Public Space

Essential Functions

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana their choice for gaming entertainment.
• Responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
• Empties and cleans garbage cans.
• Stocks supplies.
• Cleans floors, walls, ceilings, and vents.
• Cleans carpet including vacuuming, shampooing, & spot cleaning.
• Cleans Memorabilia cases.
• Cleans glass windows & doors.
• Cleans entryways.
• Must be able to push/pull 50 lbs.
• Must be able to perform repetitive motions.
• Operates and Maintains floor equipment for sweeping, carpet shampooing & scrubbing tile floors.
• Follows all Department safety protocols.
• Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
• Performs work regularly and predictably.
• Other duties as assigned.

Non-Essential Job Functions

• Attend seminars when needed.

Education And /Or Experience Requirements

• A High School Diploma.

Additional Requirements

• Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

Knowledge

• Safe use of hazardous materials.
• Basic hand and power tools and testing equipment.
• Excellent guest service skills and communication skills.
• Janitorial duties.

Ability

• To be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
• Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
• Routine handling of potentially hazardous cleaning chemicals and wastes; requires strict adherence to supervisor's safety instructions and compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Routine use of powered cleaning equipment.
