If you’re detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, and enjoy hands-on work that keeps vehicles on the road, join the Avis Budget Group team supporting Budget Truck operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer moving vans and box trucks across multiple brands with minimal technical supervision.
  • Oil and fluid services, lubrication, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, and warranty-related repairs based on your experience level.
  • Assist senior technicians with more complex diagnostics and repair procedures as you continue to grow your skills.
  • Drive a Budget Truck on public roads for testing, repair verification, or operational support as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Driver’s License (Class A, B, or C)
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience
  • At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year
  • Working knowledge of ASE certification areas including, but not limited to: Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel
  • Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels
  • Mandatory tools for automotive repair and maintenance
  • Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance
  • This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely
  • Previous Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience is preferred and considered a strong advantage
