About the role

The Heavy Duty Equipment Technician at Stevens Enterprises is responsible for servicing the company's fleet of heavy equipment, transports, trailers, vehicles, and machinery. This role involves collaborating with equipment operators, transport drivers, repair specialists, vendors, and customers to ensure that the fleet is in good working order, meets quality and safety standards, and adheres to government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and modify systems, components, accessories and attachments.
  • Work on multiple systems such as engines, fuel, electrical, hydrostatic and transmission, suspension, hydraulic, transmissions, and engine management, climate control, intake exhaust and emission control, steering, braking, drive, structural components, frames and undercarriages as well as ground engaging equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with equipment operators, transport drivers, repair specialists, vendors, and customers to ensure on-time completion, standards are met and the entire fleet is in good working order.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of heavy-duty and truck and coach fleet servicing experience (incl. maintenance, repairs, licensing, safety inspections, and maintenance records).
  • Experience operating forestry and heavy-duty equipment is an asset.
  • AZ License is an asset.
  • Competent welding skills is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Attention to details and willingness to learn.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid WHMIS certification.

Skills

Successful candidates should have the following skills:

  • Five or more years of heavy-duty and truck and coach fleet servicing experience.
  • Experience operating forestry and heavy-duty equipment.
  • AZ License.
  • Competent welding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Attention to details and willingness to learn.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

$35 per hour
