Responsibilities
- Overseeing and managing all aspects of water and wastewater and pump station construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Leading and coordinating a team of engineers, contractors, and other professionals during all phases of project development and execution.
- Preparing, reviewing, and updating project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensuring that all project activities align with these plans.
- Cooking and supervising the construction process from the conceptual development stage through to final construction, ensuring that all works are carried out according to design specifications.
- Managing and resolving any issues or problems that arise during the project, and ensuring that any changes to the project are properly documented and communicated to all relevant parties.
- Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards related to water and wastewater construction projects.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, and ensuring that all parties are kept informed of project progress and any changes.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the heavy civil/industrial construction sector.
- Proven experience in managing water and wastewater construction projects, including experience with underground utilities, pump stations, site work, structural concrete, - knowledge of process piping, mechanical piping, and yard piping a plus!
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate and oversee a team of professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve project issues effectively and efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards related to water and wastewater construction projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
