Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of water and wastewater and pump station construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Lead and coordinate a team of engineers, contractors, and other professionals during all phases of project development and execution.
- Prepare, review, and update project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring all project activities align with these plans.
- Coordinate and supervise the construction process from conceptual development through final construction, ensuring works are carried out according to design specifications.
- Manage and resolve issues or problems that arise during the project, ensuring changes are properly documented and communicated to all relevant parties.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards related to water and wastewater construction projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, keeping all parties informed of project progress and changes.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the heavy civil/industrial construction sector.
- Proven experience in managing water and wastewater construction projects, including underground utilities, pump stations, site work, and structural concrete. Knowledge of process piping, mechanical piping, and yard piping is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate and oversee a team of professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve project issues effectively and efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards related to water and wastewater construction projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
