Heavy Civil Estimator Construction

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates, quantity takeoffs, bids, and proposals.
• Review civil plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
• Analyze labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and production costs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/vendor quotes.
• Identify project risks and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Maintain cost data and support project handoffs to operations.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of heavy civil estimating experience.
• Experience with Agtek required; HCSS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of heavy civil methods and production rates.
• Ability to read civil plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license for occasional site visits.
