Heavy Assembly (Non-Welding Fabrication)

About the role

We’re a hands-on team looking for reliable people who enjoy working with their hands and seeing the results of their work every day in Mankato, Minnesota. Primary area: non-welding heavy metal fabrication (i.e., heavy assembly). Other areas as needed: pre-fab (laser operator, brake press), prime/prep, final assembly.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble products using hand tools and detailed instructions
• Read blueprints and follow measurements to ensure quality
• Support production in areas like assembly, fabrication, and finishing
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
• Follow job tracking and quality standards to get it right the first time
• Learn materials, processes, and equipment to grow your skills
• Work as part of a team to keep production moving efficiently
• Take on additional tasks as needed to support the operation

Requirements

• 1+ year of manufacturing or hands-on work experience preferred
• Comfortable using hand tools, tape measures, and reading blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
• Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively
• Willingness to learn and cross-train
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Physical Requirements

The work environment is in a manufacturing facility where frequent interruptions, distractions, and moderate levels of noise occur. It requires wearing safety glasses (provided) and other required personal protective equipment.

Schedule

1st shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Some overtime available on Fridays (40+ hours).
