Job Summary
About the role
The successful candidate will perform all assembly operations necessary to assemble assigned parts in accordance to provided specifications and processes. In more complex project orders, they assemble large agitator equipment and its subassemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.
Responsibilities
- Aligns components, ensuring fit, form, and function, and fastens them together using acceptable mechanical practices.
- Plans assembly procedures, following specifications from blueprints and related documentation both written and verbal.
- Inspects components and ensures acceptable quality standards.
- Uses a variety of hand, power tools and material handling equipment, including measuring devices such as micrometers, verniers, dial indicators, and torque equipment.
- Rigs and maneuvers large heavy materials using proper equipment such as a 10-ton crane while working in a confined space environment or with assembly-built and test equipment.
- Participates in 5S area activities daily.
- Performs other relevant duties as needed to cover departmental needs.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions
- Ability to interpret basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints
- Work in a team environment
- Effective communication skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years related or assembly experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic Computer Skills
- Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions
- Ability to interpret basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints
- Work in a team environment
- Effective communication skills
Physical Demands
- Sit and use hands, fingers, handle or feel
- Talk and hear
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Use appropriate PPE
Working Conditions
- Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise level while on the production floor
- Noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate

Pay
Anticipated salary range for this position: $43,700/yr. to $80,780/yr.
