Heat Transfer/Secondary Flow Engineer (All Experience Levels)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Perform thermal heat transfer and secondary flow analyses in a complete and timely manner.
  • Prepare analytical reports consistent with requirements stated in the Agilis Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Maintain a strong proficiency with Agilis and customer required analysis tools through periodic training and frequent use.
  • Integrate work with Design, Structures, and Aero & Performance teams.
  • Work on teams, be a team player, and be dependable.
  • Participate in customer reviews at the discretion of the IPT Lead.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem-solving situations.
  • Provide in-house support and mentoring, including assisting or instructing others in the use of techniques and tools.
  • Perform other tasks as required.
• Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (e.g., mechanical and/or aerospace).
  • Thorough knowledge of advanced engineering methods, tools, and procedures.
  • Ability to perform analyses to verify the integrity of detailed thermal and flow systems solutions using appropriate tools, including hand calculations, spreadsheets, and other software.
  • Collections and research data skillfully; uses intuition and experience to complement data; ability to perform preliminary or final analyses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel within the organization and customers.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, if required.

  • Able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Able to work at a computer desk or workstation.
  • Able to perform light physical duties such as lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
