HEAT Camp Counselor

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and healthy basketball environments for all participants.
• Teach the fundamentals of basketball, including ball-handling, shooting, rebounding, defense, footwork, passing, etc.
• Aid in controlling campers to ensure their safety and efficiency.
• Deal with disciplinary issues using the guidelines provided by Camp Director Tony Fiorentino.
• Lead drills, stretches, team practices, and referee team games.
• Always know the location of all assigned team members and other participants.
• Perform daily accurate sign-out procedures with team parents.
• Help with the setup and breakdown of portable camp baskets.

Desired Qualifications

• Very organized and detail-oriented.
• An interest in working with children in a basketball camp setting.
• The ability to meet tight deadlines and handle a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
