Heart Failure Clinical Associate
Responsibilities
Overseeing heart failure patients in the CTICU on mechanical support or VV ECMO, and those who have experienced these interventions.
Managing patients with VADs on the surgical floor and those with Impella 5.5 devices in the CCU.
Providing consistent support from Monday to Friday, including every other weekend.
Involvement in bedside procedures and ICU work.
Bill first assist in the OR as well, supporting the overall BCVI Heart Failure program.
Requirements
Qualified candidates will have completed an accredited training program in thoracic / cardiovascular surgery. Meeting the requirements for board certification in United States or the international equivalent.
Pay
The expected base pay for this position is $220,000 - $260,000. Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
