Responsibilities
- Represent the company’s interests at Benefit Review Conferences (BRCs)
- Prepare claim files in internal systems for BRCs
- Attend BRCs to explain the company’s position and basis for it
- Negotiate disputes with injured workers or their representatives
- Request DWC formal Contested Case Hearings (CCHs) on disputed benefits
- Schedule CCHs with Hearings Technical Specialists
- Write and file BRC reports in the Docket Database
- Communicate outcomes of dispute resolution and claim developments to adjusters, CCH attorneys, and policyholders
- Facilitate discussions and training sessions with adjusters on claim handling
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- At least two years of experience handling Texas workers' compensation indemnity claims, including dispute resolution
- Current Texas workers' compensation or all lines adjuster license, or active Texas law license in good standing
- Valid Texas drivers' license or alternative transportation
Pay
The base pay range is $76,998.10 - $95,115.30 per year. Individual pay is determined by a variety of factors including experience, performance, education, and demonstrated skills and competencies.
Schedule
Flex-hybrid work environment is offered, requiring Texas residency and occasional travel to designated offices.
