      About the Organization

Founded in 1992, Revitalize CDC performs critical repairs on homes of low-income families with children, the elderly, military veterans and people with special needs. We improve the health and wellbeing of community members by: addressing poor housing conditions; performing assessments and interventions for adults and children with asthma; making home improvements that allow seniors to safely remain in their home; and offering a Nutrition Rx program in conjunction with local health care partners to address food insecurity and chronic health conditions.

For over 30 years, Revitalize Community Development Corporation (RCDC) has worked with homeowners, community members, and city officials to renovate, repair, and modify unhealthy homes to improve the wellbeing of our neighbors. We provide free critical repairs, modifications, and rehabilitation on the homes of low-income families with children, the elderly, veterans, and individuals with disabilities; help bridge food insecurity gaps through delivery of fresh foods; and positions community members toward healthier lives through education and support for chronic conditions like asthma and diabetes.

Since 1992 Revitalize CDC has served over 30,000 individuals investing over $52 Million into Western Massachusetts.

In the past year, Revitalize CDC has served 826 families, 2,309 individuals with home repairs, critical healthy home supplies and education for individuals with asthma or COVID-19, and nutrition counseling with weekly food deliveries and supplies for individuals with diabetes.
