Healthcare Valuation Principal

About the role

Withum's Forensic and Valuation Services practice assists companies in meeting business requirements related to valuation, risk management, economic analysis, compensation analysis, and model validation. As a Healthcare Valuation Principal, you will oversee and perform valuation and compensation valuation opinions for a wide variety of healthcare entities, including single and multi-specialty physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, hospitals, physical therapy centers, and home healthcare companies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform valuation, consulting, and advisory services for healthcare entities.
• Analyze compensation arrangements for healthcare entities, including clinical service, coverage arrangements, and physician executive services.
• Perform purchase price allocations for financial and tax reporting purposes.
• Analyze physician compensation and lease arrangements to ensure Stark and Anti-Kickback compliance.
• Take an active role in business development, client management, and project management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, accounting, or a similar quantitative discipline.
• 10+ years of experience performing valuation-related services.
• In-depth understanding of valuation methods such as discounted cash flow, market multiple, and market transactions.
• Must hold a valuation-related certification (ASA, CVA, ABV, CEIV, or CFA). MBA and/or JD will also be considered.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Capital IQ, and MGMA/AMGA databases preferred.
• Capacity to work independently on projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.

Pay

Compensation for this position ranges from $150,000 to $275,000, with a competitive benefits package and bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
