About the role
Design, build, and support scalable digital solutions that enable critical healthcare workflows and secure data management. Work collaboratively with product owners, architects, data teams, and healthcare stakeholders to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications, including APIs, web services, and Azure Function Apps, supporting healthcare platforms
- Build and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to ensure performance, accuracy, and scalability
- Support and enhance healthcare applications, including Facets modules (Member, Claims, Providers, Accumulation, and Open Access services)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Ensure solutions comply with healthcare regulations, security standards, and data privacy requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and database-related issues across environments
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployments using Azure DevOps
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and system processes
- Build and maintain agentic AI workflows, including multi-step reasoning, tool usage, and autonomous task execution
- Integrate and manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to enable AI agents to interact with external tools, APIs, and data sources
- Develop, test, and optimize prompts, pipelines, and agent orchestration logic
Requirements
- Strong experience developing applications using .NET technologies
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, stored procedures, and data modeling
- Hands-on experience supporting healthcare applications and workflows
- Experience working with Facets (Member, Claims, Providers, Accumulation, and Open Access services)
- Understanding of healthcare standards and regulations such as HIPAA, HL7, or FHIR
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployments using Azure DevOps
- Ability to work effectively in Agile delivery environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to support production systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing or deploying Generative AI or Agentic AI–powered solutions
- Exposure to Azure cloud services and a strong interest in Azure upskilling
- Experience building intelligent workflows that integrate AI agents with enterprise systems
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with global or cross-functional teams
Schedule
This is a remote position open to qualified applicants in El Salvador. The working arrangements may change based on project, business, and client requirements.
Pay
The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $110K - $125K depending on experience and other qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance.
