Primary Duties

  • Understand and interpret the design needs and desires of the client and create effective, accurate designs.
  • Routinely meet with client representatives, A&D, GC, HCIQ & G|M Account Executive.
  • Research and learn every aspect of the assigned projects.
  • Take detailed notes to gain a clear understanding of all the project requirements.
  • Learn/implement and communicate OSHPD/HCAI requirements of each project.
  • Communicate effectively with assigned project contacts (Client/Architect/Equipment Planners/GC).
  • Perform site walks and communicate with onsite contractors.
  • Complete field verifications (Plumbing/Electrical/Backing/Field Dims).
  • Generate OSHPD/HCAI submittal documents.
  • Generate project specification using CAP 2020 software.
  • Create 2D, 3D & CET Designer rendered drawings.
  • Create clear and easy to understand installation packages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • At least 3 years of previous experience as a Designer (Healthcare is a plus).
  • Proficient with AutoDesk (AutoCAD/Revit), Bluebeam, CET Designer, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of healthcare furniture systems, building codes, ADA and OSHPD.
  • Proficient in construction document production.
  • Self-motivated, self-learner with strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and listening skills.
  • Excellent presentation and customer service skills.
  • High degree of professionalism, honesty, ownership and integrity.
  • Able to be optimistic, enthusiastic, collaborative, and think creatively.
  • Able to visualize physical space to have a positive impact on the lives of others.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with strong project management, follow up and organizational skills.
  • Able to perform successfully under pressure and effectively meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to multi-task, adapt to changes and create alternate solutions.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time and lift up to 20 pounds.

Compensation

Compensation: $26 - $38 per hour, depending on education and experience. Monthly bonus plan, paid time off, health insurance benefits, and a 401(k) plan are also available for eligible team members.

Working Environment

Regularly works both in and out of the office with others, face to face, over the phone and through email. The nature of work requires occasional time spent out at project sites and client offices; reliable transportation required. Project sites may present dusty/dirty conditions with loud noise, moving objects and other hazards; PPE and compliance with safety rules is required.
