About the Opportunity

The Healthcare Data Analyst role focuses on transforming complex healthcare data into actionable insights that enhance quality and reduce costs. This position supports the analytics platform and consulting clients by profiling, validating, and analyzing large datasets. The role is vital for delivering high-quality analytical solutions that inform healthcare decisions and improve operational outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large healthcare datasets using SQL, Databricks, Python, and other tools.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting and client deliverables.
• Develop and execute data quality checks, feasibility assessments, and validation processes.
• Monitor data quality, investigate anomalies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop technical specifications and analytic approaches for healthcare data.
• Communicate analytical findings and business impacts to diverse stakeholders.
• Produce reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses.
• Document data definitions, business rules, and methodologies.
• Collaborate with Product, Consulting, Engineering, and Client Success teams.
• Identify opportunities to automate analyses and improve workflows.
• Manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
• Contribute to process improvements enhancing data quality and operational efficiency.
• Follow quality risk management standards and company policies.
• Travel occasionally for meetings or professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or related quantitative field.
• One or more years of experience with SQL or similar data querying tools.
• Experience analyzing structured datasets and delivering analytical outputs.
• Proficiency with SQL Server/T-SQL, Python, PySpark, Azure Databricks, or comparable tools.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of relational databases and data warehouse concepts.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and business audiences.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare claims, eligibility, provider, clinical, or pharmacy data.
• Experience with Azure Databricks or PySpark.
• Experience creating dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Experience supporting healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or data warehousing.

Pay

The salary range is $49,900 to $88,895, varying by location and candidate qualifications.

• For certain states and cities: $57,385 to $88,895.
• For all other locations: $49,900 to $77,300.

Compensation will consider education, experience, qualifications, and skills.
