Healthcare Coordinator

About the role

The Healthcare Coordinator (HC) at Fairfax Modern Dentistry partners with supported Dentists to help gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the best course of treatment with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Understand and utilize financial options to support case acceptance
• Educate patients on treatment choices
• Overcome common patient objections
• Proactively keep Dentist’s schedules productive
• Support each patient in a consultative and educational manner
• Create Patients for Life (PFL)
• Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices
• Achieve proficiency in PDS system and tools
• Execute the HC Handoff in partnership with each clinician
• Be a Subject Matter Expert on all available financial options
• Overcome common patient objections to starting treatment
• Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations for patients
• Ensure the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model
• Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
• Ensure compliance with company policies
• Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Prior course work or on-the-job training in the fields of dentistry, insurance, or business
• Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances
• Results-oriented, patient advocate, process-focused operator, financial acumen, and influencer
• Ability to handle and maintain extreme confidentiality, excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

• $18.00 - $25.50 / Hourly
