About the role

The City of Bellingham is seeking a Healthcare Benefits Strategy & Analytics Coordinator to join their Human Resources department. This role involves analyzing healthcare benefits data, identifying cost drivers, and developing strategies to manage costs while enhancing employee care.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze healthcare benefits data to identify cost drivers and opportunities for improvement
  • Evaluate alternative care options and improve healthcare navigation
  • Develop partnerships with community-based organizations and healthcare providers to enhance access to cost-effective services and wellness resources
  • Work closely with stakeholders to implement and monitor strategic initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare benefits management, strategy, or analytics
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Experience working with healthcare providers and community organizations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and best practices
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
