About the role
The City of Bellingham is seeking a Healthcare Benefits Strategy & Analytics Coordinator to join their Human Resources department. This role involves analyzing healthcare benefits data, identifying cost drivers, and developing strategies to manage costs while enhancing employee care.
Responsibilities
- Analyze healthcare benefits data to identify cost drivers and opportunities for improvement
- Evaluate alternative care options and improve healthcare navigation
- Develop partnerships with community-based organizations and healthcare providers to enhance access to cost-effective services and wellness resources
- Work closely with stakeholders to implement and monitor strategic initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare benefits management, strategy, or analytics
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
- Experience working with healthcare providers and community organizations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
