About the role
USAA is seeking dedicated Health Solutions Specialists (Intermediate Level) to join their team. This role offers a flexible work environment with a potential hybrid opportunity after six months.
Responsibilities
- Receives inquiries or requests for advice or service from current members through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and faxes.
- Documents relevant information and recognizes life events to understand the member's needs, financial situation, and goals.
- Makes recommendations and motivates members to take action on recommendations.
- Overcomes objections using advanced sales techniques and persuasion skills and implements recommendations.
- Educates members on how regulatory changes will impact a product and articulates benefits to motivate the member to acquire and/or retain various health products.
- Supports enterprise business goals through the achievement of individual referral and product acquisition goals.
- Acquires and applies advanced knowledge of complex health insurance and Medicare solutions, dental and vision insurance, and long-term care solutions to assist members with choosing and managing the best products for their needs.
- Works with brokered products and acts as an agent for the member.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
- Required maintenance of Health license.
- Required annual completion of AHIP and Broker/Carrier appointments.
- 1 or more years of customer service/sales experience.
- Experience delivering frequent written and oral communication.
- Experience acquiring and applying new concepts and information.
- Experience processing and analyzing information.
- Experience fulfilling requests and meeting deadlines.
- Experience resolving conflict and negotiating.
- Experience multi-tasking in an operating systems environment.
- Experience participating in or leading teams.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a job-related assessment may be required.

- Experience working with Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement Plans.
- Experience working with Final Expense Policies.
- Experience in Life Insurance Sales.
- Experience in Call Center.
Pay & Benefits
The salary range for this position is: $45,470 - $76,730. USAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must not require visa sponsorship for this role.
