Health Services Manager

We are seeking a Health Services Manager to oversee environmental health programs in Broward County, including public swimming pools, mobile home and RV parks, food hygiene, group care facilities, solid waste, rodent/arthropod control, and communicable disease surveillance. Key Responsibilities Supervise and motivate staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplining employees.Develop performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and maintain work schedules.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety standards to protect public health.Oversee inspections, permitting, chemical testing, and compliance activities across programs.Investigate environmental nuisance complaints and enforce violations through notices and legal actions.Assist with facility inspections, plan reviews, and initial permits. Qualifications Current Florida Environmental Health Professional (CEHP) licensure in Food Protection.Experience supervising staff, conducting water sampling, and plan reviews.Knowledge of environmental health codes and safety standards.Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.Willingness to work flexible hours in emergency situations. Preferred Skills Experience in emergency response and interpretation of regulations.Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, public health, or related field.Experience leading inspection teams for public health facilities. This full-time, on-site role requires effective communication, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to manage multiple environmental health programs to ensure public safety and compliance.
