Position: Health Services Director Location: Honolulu, Hawaii Pay: $95,000–$105,000/year (DOE) Experience: Nursing leadership experience in senior living or residential care preferred Education: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Hawaii nursing license in good standing Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a compassionate and experienced Health Services Director to lead clinical operations within a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE). Job Description As the Health Services Director, you will oversee resident health services, coordinate care with healthcare providers, supervise clinical staff, and ensure compliance with state regulations while promoting the highest quality of care. Key Responsibilities Coordinate resident care with physicians, hospitals, discharge planners, and other healthcare providers.Oversee medication management and train Medication Technicians.Perform nursing assessments, medication administration, and treatments within the scope of nursing practice.Complete pre-admission assessments and ongoing resident evaluations.Coordinate medical, dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry services.Interview prospective residents and families and review admission documentation.Supervise clinical staff and provide coaching and education.Monitor resident health and communicate changes with the Executive Director, families, and care team.Ensure compliance with RCFE regulations and company policies. Position Requirements Hard Skills Active Hawaii LVN or RN license in good standing.Preferred 2+ years of experience in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).Preferred 1+ year of supervisory or management experience.Ability to obtain RCFE Administrator certification.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Current or ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.Ability to pass criminal background screening, physical examination, and TB testing. Soft Skills Strong leadership and staff development skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to teach, coach, and mentor clinical staff.Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.Compassionate, resident-focused, and committed to quality care.
