Health Service Worker

West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility is seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Service Workers to join our long-term care team. Make a difference in the lives of Veterans by serving those who served.

Responsibilities

• Interact routinely with residents, observe behavior patterns, and communicate significant observations to RN.
• Attend to the physical needs of the residents, such as assistance with personal hygiene tasks, feeding, and mobility; document information regarding resident care.
• Participate in maintenance of a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
• Assist in admission, discharge, and transfer of residents as assigned, including personal inventory.
• Obtain residents' vital signs.
• Assist nursing staff in responding to emergency situations.

Requirements

• Certification as a Nursing Assistant.

Schedule

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with day and night shifts available. Must have flexibility to cover shifts as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure continuous, safe staffing levels.

Pay

Estimated salary range between $19.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on experience.
