About the role

The University of California, Irvine is seeking candidates for the Health Science Clinical Professor series, at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels with Gastroenterology experience to join their expanding academic practice.

Responsibilities

  • Join an established academic program which includes gastroenterologists, hepatologists, foregut, hepatobiliary, and colorectal surgeons and a robust research program, including clinical trials and translational work.
  • Incorporate clinical practice, teaching responsibilities including supervision of fellows and residents in the inpatient, outpatient and endoscopy center and research domain.
  • Provide clinical services in state-of-the-art endoscopy suites, GI oncology, pancreato-biliary diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases, G.I. motility and hepatology with service locations in Orange, Irvine, Costa Mesa, Laguna Hills and Tustin.

Requirements

  • Must be Board-certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology/Hepatology.
  • Prior training and/or certification in the above subspecialties.
  • Be eligible for a California Medical License.

  • Basic qualifications (required at time of application): Must have either MD, DO or MBBS.

Membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Pay

Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation depending on specialty can range from $438,751-$457,957. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment.
