South College seeks applicants knowledgeable about Microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Teach fundamental concepts and principles of microbiology including roles in health, wellness, and disease.
• Address economic, social, and cultural issues related to microbiology.
• Design and lead a laboratory course that complements the lecture content.
• Incorporate virtual or at-home assignments into the laboratory course.
• Teach both lecture and laboratory components of the course as a single unit.

Requirements

• Show evidence of a minimum of an acceptable master’s degree in Microbiology or satisfactory completion of 18 graduate semester hours in the subject matter field.
• Show evidence of an earned master’s or doctoral degree in Microbiology.
• Show evidence of experience teaching similar courses at a higher education institute.
• Possess preference for experience teaching online.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching online.
