About the role
NABRICO Marine Products is seeking a detail-oriented, safety-focused Health & Safety Support team member to join our operation in Ashland City, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Support the administration of health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain safety training records, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Aid in new hire safety orientation and onboarding activities.
- Track and schedule required safety training and employee certifications.
- Conduct routine audits of safety records, forms, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Aid in incident reporting, investigations, corrective action tracking, and recordkeeping.
- Support safety meetings, committees, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Aid in safety inspections and observations throughout the facility.
- Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and communications related to health and safety initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and management regarding safety-related matters.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's degree or coursework in Occupational Safety, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- Previous administrative, manufacturing support, safety, human resources, or office experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Ability to listen, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to supporting workplace safety.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to walk throughout the facility to conduct inspections, audits, training activities, and safety observations.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry safety supplies, training materials, and equipment.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering production areas.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions when performing plant-floor activities.
