Health Safety Environment Coordinator

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Aid in maintaining OSHA and EPA compliance through training, certification management, and documentation.
  • Support EHS program implementation, application usage, accident investigation, and incident reporting.
  • Identify and address workplace hazards, conduct safety audits, and oversee regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain regulatory inspection documents, execute site awareness programs, and track sustainability initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining the Safety Committee and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Associate-degree or equivalent, required.
  • One year of EHS experience, preferred.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or food processing environment, preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficient in training methodologies, curriculum development, and soft skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem-solving, communication, presentation, facilitation, and motivational skills.
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • High energy, enthusiastic, motivational training style.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer literate with advanced knowledge of MS Office, web-based systems, and visual aids technology.

Physical Demands

  • Sufficient physical strength and dexterity to perform required tasks.
  • Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Work Environment

Typical shifts are 8-12 hours per day. Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may also be required. Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements.
