Health & Safety Coordinator I - Quality Assurance
Position Summary
ARL Bio Pharma is a leading pharmaceutical quality, safety, and sterility testing laboratory. The Controlled Dangerous Substance Coordinator (CDS) I is an entry-level position responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and industry standards and regulations. This role involves performing a variety of duties to verify compliance and chemical safety concerns, managing databases, and assisting with investigations.
Job Duties
- Assist QA, EHS, and CDS Managers with department projects to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Reconcile controlled substances records and verify chemical inventories.
- Maintain physical and electronic record systems using SOPs and QMS guidelines.
- Perform administrative tasks like scanning documents.
- Assist with various investigations and other tasks as assigned.
- Strictly adhere to SOPs, QMS, and cGMP guidelines.
Minimum Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 year of experience in customer service and 1 year in a laboratory environment.
- Associate degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field with 1 year of experience in DEA Compliance or related regulatory compliance field.
Work Environment
- Professional office environment with typical office equipment.
- Occasional exposure to weather conditions and chemicals.
- Fluctuations in temperatures, humidity, and pressure.
- Exposure to dust and fumes.
- Primarily English-speaking workplace.
Physical Requirements
- Active role with occasional walking.
- Sedentary role with some filing.
- Ability to sit, stand, twist, bend, kneel, crawl, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Use hand strength and finger dexterity for fine manipulations.
- Wear PPE and maintain visual acuity.
- Tolerate fluctuations in temperature.
