Health Safety and Environmental Technician

Responsibilities

• Conducting regular safety inspections and audits onsite to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
• Understanding and adhering to all safety guidelines - report any incidents and be proactive in the prevention of safety and security incidents.
• Working with Operations Management Team to resolve issues that arise.
• Maintaining a strong team relationship and demonstrating a professional presence with all employees.
• Fostering communication with the workforce to strengthen the importance of EHS objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Producing high-quality work that meets the requirements of company policies, procedures, industry standards, and client expectations.
• Able to travel throughout the region up to 90% of the time.
• Able to work nightshifts, weekends, and holidays if applicable.
• Able to work extended or on-call hours as needed.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to demonstrate good organizational and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products and office savvy.
• Preference given to candidates who are bilingual (English/Spanish).

Requirements

• High School Degree/GED, or equivalent experience.
• Two (2) Years of Mining experience (MSHA).
• Two (2) Years of Safety experience (OSHA).
• Able to work extended or on-call hours as needed.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to demonstrate good organizational and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products and office savvy.
• Preference given to candidates who are bilingual (English/Spanish).

Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to pass an initial and periodic drug screens and a background check upon hire.
