Health, Safety and Environmental Project Specialist - Senior

Core Responsibilities

• Document Control: Manage, update, and maintain policies, procedures, and all associated controlled documents.
• Incident Investigation Quality: Oversee the quality and consistency of site incident investigations, ensuring accurate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Contractor Safety Oversight: Administer and monitor the contractor safety program to ensure compliance and safe work practices.

Required Additional Skills, Education, Or Experience

• Training & Facilitation: Strong ability to deliver engaging training and present information clearly to diverse audiences.
• First Aid & Case Management: Experience supporting first aid response and managing injury cases appropriately.
• Engineering-Focused Solutions: Ability to identify and recommend engineering control solutions as a minimum standard for risk reduction.

Preferred Skills, Education, Or Experience

• Communication & Awareness: Background in advertising or marketing to support safety communication and engagement initiatives.
• ISO Expertise: ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 auditor certification (or internal auditing experience) to support management system compliance.

Qualifications

College, university, or equivalent degree required. Occupational Health, Safety or Environmental degree preferred. Experience Intermediate relevant experience required, including team leadership and project management. Experience with Industrial Safety Standards preferred. 3-5 years of experience.
