Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure facility compliance with EPA, IDEM, and applicable local environmental regulations.
- Manage environmental permits, including air permits, stormwater permits, and other applicable regulatory permits.
- Prepare and submit environmental regulatory reports such as Tier II, Toxic Release Inventory (TRI), and emissions reports.
- Manage hazardous waste programs in accordance with RCRA regulations, including storage, labeling, manifesting, and vendor coordination.
- Carry out internal environmental compliance inspections and audits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during environmental regulatory inspections.
- Maintain environmental records and compliance documentation.
- Support and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO14002 Environmental Management System requirements.
- Support environmental incidents, including spills, releases, and corrective actions.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental compliance in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with environmental permitting, regulatory reporting, and hazardous waste.
- Experience interacting with regulatory agencies preferred.
- ISO 14001 experience preferred.

- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The team member is occasionally required to stand and use hands, walk, bend, lift, or twist.
- The team member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
- The team member is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
- The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- The team member must be able to lift a container of fasteners weighting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
