Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Specialist

Responsibilities

• Reporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.
• Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.
• Providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.
• Supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Health/Safety or Environment with 2+ years of experience preferred OR Associate degree with 4+ years HSE experience OR HS diploma/GED with 6+ years HSE experience
• Proven track record in working in a manufacturing environment as a member of the HSE (or equivalent) team
• Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance including local HSE regulations and knowledge of most widely used international standards
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is required
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety Program Implementation is a plus
• Change Management experience is a plus
• Certifications (CHST, OHST, ASP, CSP) are nice to have
