About the role
The HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) Training Instructor is responsible for administering and delivering new-hire safety orientation, leading annual HSE compliance retraining, and continuously improving the company’s training curriculum. This role plays a critical part in reinforcing company safety standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture across all operations.
Essential Functions
- Cook up, schedule, and conduct HSE training classes for employees of Beusa and affiliated companies
- Deliver new-hire orientation and required annual compliance training
- Maintain current knowledge of HSE regulations, industry standards, and best practices
- Update and improve training materials and course presentations based on regulatory and operational changes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee training records within internal databases
- Support the continuous development and enhancement of HSE training programs and curriculum
- Travel as required to deliver training at various district or field training facilities
- Conduct training sessions in both classroom and outdoor environments, as needed
- Provide hands-on instruction involving equipment such as heavy machinery, fire extinguishers, and other safety-related tools
- Promote and reinforce company safety policies, procedures, and culture in all training activities
- Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity
Position Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s)
- Overtime may be required and in person, predictable attendance in The Woodlands, TX
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required. Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3-year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy
Education/Experience Level
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Education, or a related discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an instructor or trainer
- Certified IADC RigPass and/or Veriforce Safeland/H2S Instructor
- Certified Medic First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor
- Authorized OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Instructor
- Experience as a certified equipment operator trainer (e.g., forklifts, aerial lifts) preferred
- Knowledge of hydraulic fracturing, oilfield pumping services, and/or manufacturing environments is a plus

- Strong facilitation and instructional delivery abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and training/database systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and record accuracy
- Ability to engage diverse audiences and promote learning retention
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Frequent walking, sitting, climbing, bending, reaching, and squatting/kneeling
- Primarily indoors with prolonged periods of sitting while typing on a computer
- May include exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio levels up to 85 dB, inclement weather, and extreme temperatures (both hot and cold)
- Required to wear company-mandated and company-issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when visiting a wellsite
- Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity
