Health, Safety and Environment Leader-Moderate Complexity

About the role

We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environment Leader to join our Health and Safety team of Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems (CDBS) in Fletcher, NC.

Responsibilities

• Build strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure clarity of roles, shared accountability, and active employee involvement in HSE programs.
• Apply regulatory and technical expertise in HSE regulations, compliance obligations, emergency preparedness, and management systems to lead daily operations and support regulatory interactions.
• Use data-driven decision making to collect, analyze, and interpret performance data and KPIs to identify risks, evaluate trends, and drive strategic and tactical improvements.
• Demonstrate inclusive leadership and communication skills that value diverse perspectives and strengthen HSE culture through effective coaching and team development.

Requirements

• College, university, or equivalent degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or Environmental required.
• Professional certification in an HSE-related field preferred.
• Significant relevant experience required, including management of health, safety, and/or environmental ISO Standards.
• 5-7 years of experience, with 1-2 years of management experience.

Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus and can enhance communication and employee engagement.
