Health Psychology Fellow - Focus on Oncology

About the role

Loyola Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences and Division of Psychology is offering a one-year, full-time postdoctoral fellowship in health psychology for the upcoming academic year.

The Fellow will provide comprehensive services for adult medical patients with special emphasis on psychosocial oncology, organ transplantation, pain management, managing affective disorders in medically ill patients, bariatric procedures, and enhancing treatment compliance.

Training includes inpatient interventions and outpatient services, with instruction in a variety of techniques and psychotherapy modalities. The fellow is also expected to participate in departmental teaching and research activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychological services for adult medical patients, focusing on areas such as psychosocial oncology, organ transplantation, and pain management.
• Manage affective disorders in medically ill patients and support treatment compliance.
• Conduct inpatient interventions and outpatient services using various psychotherapy modalities.
• Participate in departmental teaching and research activities.
