Health Promotion Specialist | Media Relations

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements annual community engagement plan, including all community outreach programs supporting Community Benefit Reporting and Community Health Needs Assessment activities, community seminars, health screenings and events, physician seminars (Doc Talks), community expos, external sponsorships and employee engagement activities and events.
• Assists with management and coordination of marketing and advertising activities for UF Health Central Florida, as it relates to community relations activities.
• Positively represents UF Health Central Florida throughout the community.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in public health, Health Education, Communications, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in health promotion, wellness program development, or health communications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel, for content creation, reporting, and data analysis.
• Experience working in a healthcare, hospital, or public health environment preferred.
• Strong skills in developing and delivering health education materials, communications, and wellness campaigns.
• Knowledge of public health principles, health behavior change strategies, and health promotion best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a hospital, health system, academic medical center, or public health organization.
• Bachelor's degree in public health, Health Education, Communications, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience collaborating with marketing, communications, clinical, and community stakeholders.
• Knowledge of population health, employee wellness strategies, and community health engagement initiatives.
